GRAPHIC NOVELS

I and the teens are very excited to receive a Caldwell Community Foundation grant. It means I have just ordered 90 new graphic novels!good comic

At a recent librarians meeting, I found some others negative about buying graphic novels for the library. "Why?", I wondered.

Didn't we all resent getting better at reading and then being deprived of pictures with the words? Isn't it great to have graphic novels?

It has been a discovery for me to find what's out there. I decided to avoid the horror-themed novels and opt for more Japanese anime/manga. (Someone needs to tell me the difference between the two words: anime and manga.)

If we want kids to read, give them something they are truly interested in reading. That is my thinking.
